Rule 2-10 Deadline Established
Illinois Senate, Senate Rules, 104th General Assembly
The Senate President set this bill's deadline — for a committee to report it, or for a final vote — to the date shown. A bill that misses a committee deadline goes back to Assignments.
The Senate President sets the Senate's schedule and may establish deadlines for committees to report bills and for Third Reading and passage (Senate Rule 2-10).
A bill a committee has not reported by its deadline is automatically re-referred to the Committee on Assignments (Senate Rule 3-9(a)). A deadline set for one bill often moves an earlier, general deadline later.
