Arrived in the other chamber
Illinois House and Senate, Illinois Constitution
The bill passed the chamber it started in and has been delivered to the other one, where it starts again: three readings, a committee, and a vote.
A bill may start in either chamber, and the other may amend or reject it (Illinois Constitution, Article IV, Section 8(b)). It becomes law only after passing both (Section 8(c)).
On arrival it is read a first time and referred to the House Rules Committee or the Senate Committee on Assignments, like a bill introduced there.
